What is Pulsefy?
Pulsefy is South Africa's live event discovery and nightlife platform — built for KZN, Gauteng, and the Western Cape. Browse events on a live map, buy tickets, follow venues and artists, post content, plan outings with your squad, and order food from local spots — all in one place. 🔥
How do I buy tickets?
Tap any event to open its detail panel, choose your ticket tier (General, VIP, Early Bird, etc.), enter your details, and pay securely via Paystack. Your QR code ticket is instantly available in Profile → My Bookings — no email required. Show it at the door to get in. 🎫
Are my payments secure?
Yes. All payments go through Paystack — PCI-DSS compliant, the same gateway used by banks and major SA retailers. We never store card details. Transactions are fully encrypted. 🔒
Can I get a refund?
Refund policies are set by each event organizer — check the event detail page for their terms. For help, email hello@pulsefy.co.za with your booking reference. 💰
What can I do on Pulsefy without paying?
Everything discovery-related is free: browse and search events, explore venues on the live map, follow people and places, post to your feed, join or create a squad, and RSVP to squad plans. Tickets cost what the organizer charges — the Pulsefy app itself is free to use. ✅
How are events and businesses listed on Pulsefy?
Events come from two sources: organizer accounts (real event organizers who post directly on the platform) and affiliate partners like Ticketmaster, Quicket, and Eventbrite. Affiliate events are listed at the distributor's set price — we never add surcharges or embed checkout. Tapping "Buy on Ticketmaster →" opens the partner's site directly. Businesses (restaurants, bars, shisanyamas, clubs, hotels) are listed by their owners through a business account — no scraping, no third parties. 🏪

What is a Squad?
A Squad is your go-out crew on Pulsefy. Create one with your friends, plan outings (events, shisanyamas, restaurants, road trips), chat in your squad channel, and RSVP together so no one gets left behind. Think of it as your personal group chat that's connected to live events. 👥
Are there safety benefits to going out as a squad?
Absolutely. Going out as a group means: nobody travels alone, everyone looks out for each other at the venue, you can arrange shared transport (Uber pool, carpool), and if anything feels off, your crew is right there. Safety in numbers is real — squads make nights out significantly safer for everyone in the group. 🛡️
Do squads get discounts?
Yes! Venues and event organizers post Squad Deals — exclusive group discounts for squads who arrive together. A squad of 6 might get a reserved table, a food platter deal, or discounted entry that you simply can't get as individuals. Browse your squad's 🔥 Deals tab to see what's available in your city. 💸
How do I create or join a Squad?
Tap the 👥 Friends tab → scroll down to the Squads section → tap + New Squad. Name your crew, invite friends via a share link or WhatsApp, set a meeting plan, and you're ready to roll. You can also join by tapping a squad invite link sent to you. 🔗

What kind of businesses can list?
Any real SA venue that serves the nightlife or entertainment scene — shisanyamas, restaurants, bars, clubs, hotels, BnBs, event spaces, and similar establishments. We're not a delivery platform or a classifieds site. If you operate a physical spot where people come to eat, drink, stay, or have fun, Pulsefy is built for you. 🏪
How do pickup orders work?
Customers browsing your listing tap your menu, add items to their cart, and place a pickup order — no delivery, no middleman. You get notified in your Orders tab, mark it ready, and they collect. Simple as that. Full details are in your business dashboard once you're signed up. 🛒

Who is the Organizer account for?
Anyone running events where people buy tickets or pay entry — club nights, concerts, festivals, sports events, comedy shows, workshops, outdoor parties, and similar. You need to be the actual organizer or a representative of the event, not a third-party reseller. 🎤

Which devices are supported?
Pulsefy works on all modern devices — Android, iPhone, tablet, or desktop. Chrome and Safari give the best experience. You can add it to your home screen on mobile for an app-like feel — no download needed. 📱
I didn't receive my ticket
Your ticket is always available in Profile → My Bookings — no email needed. If you can't access your profile, email hello@pulsefy.co.za with your booking reference and we'll sort it out. ✉️
How do push notifications work?
When you sign in, Pulsefy will ask permission to send you notifications. Accept to get alerts for new events near you, squad invites, event approvals, and admin broadcasts. You can turn these off anytime in your browser settings. 🔔
