How Users Find & Buy Tickets
The complete journey from discovery to purchase — designed to direct users to your platform, not compete with it.
-
1Browse events on the home feed or live map Users open Pulsefy and see upcoming events in their city, filtered by genre (Gqom, Amapiano, Hip-Hop, Jazz), venue type, or area. Events from affiliate partners appear alongside locally-listed events, clearly labelled by source.
-
2Tap an event to open the full detail panel The detail panel shows the event name, date, time, venue, lineup, description, and a "Listed on [Partner]" badge with the price from the distributor's data.
-
3Tap "Buy on [Partner] →" to purchase A single prominent button opens the partner's ticketing page in a new browser tab. Pulsefy plays no role in the checkout — no cart, no payment form, no data collection. The user lands directly on the distributor's event page.
-
4Purchase completed on partner's platform The entire transaction — payment, booking confirmation, ticket delivery — happens on the partner's platform. Pulsefy does not handle, proxy, or compete with the checkout in any way.
Affiliate Events vs. Organizer Accounts
Pulsefy has two distinct types of events on the platform. It's important to understand the line between them.
90% of tickets listed on Pulsefy come from our trusted affiliate ticket partners. The platform is built around surfacing partner-sourced events — our own in-app checkout exists only for independent organisers who don't have an existing ticketing platform.
🔗 Affiliate Events
- Sourced from Ticketmaster, Eventbrite, Quicket
- Listed at the distributor's set price — zero markup
- "Buy on [Partner]" button — opens partner site in new tab
- No Pulsefy checkout involved
- Source is clearly shown on every card and detail panel
- 90% of all events on the platform
🎤 Organizer / Business Accounts
- Independent SA organisers and venues with no existing ticketing platform
- Organisers set their own prices
- In-app Paystack checkout (SA's payment gateway) for their own events
- 8% Pulsefy platform fee applies
- Clearly labelled as "Pulsefy Tickets"
- ~10% of events — small independents only
Pulsefy lists all affiliate events at exactly the price set by the distributor. We do not add surcharges, create competing checkout flows, or obscure the ticketing source. Our interest is in discovery and referral — driving qualified, purchase-intent traffic to our partners' platforms.
Who We Are & Where We Operate
Pulsefy is built specifically for South Africa's live entertainment market, with a focus on the three largest metro areas.
The platform is a Progressive Web App — users install it directly from the browser (no app store required) for an app-like experience on Android and iOS. The live event map lets users discover what's on near them in real time.
South Africans aged 18–35 actively looking for live events, nightlife, concerts, shisanyamas, restaurants, and experiences. High purchase intent — users open the app specifically to find something to do and buy tickets.
Current Affiliate Partners
Pulsefy already integrates with the following ticket platforms using the same affiliate model — link-out routing at set prices, clearly sourced.
All three use identical treatment: source badge on the event card, "Listed on [Partner]" in the detail panel, external link button that opens the partner's page in a new tab. No checkout, no payment data, no competition.
