Plain-language summary: Be respectful, don't post illegal content, don't spam, don't impersonate others. We can suspend accounts that violate these rules. Ticket purchases are final unless an event is cancelled, postponed or materially changed. Ticket money is held by our licensed payment partner and only paid to the organizer after the event.
1. Who We Are
Pulsefy is a South African live event discovery platform that helps you find events, buy tickets, connect with venues and share experiences. These Terms govern your use of pulsefy.co.za and all associated apps and services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Pulsefy account, purchase tickets, or register as an event organizer or business.
By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are legally allowed to enter into this agreement.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
- You may not share your account with others.
- You may not create multiple accounts to evade a ban or suspension.
- Notify us immediately at support@pulsefy.co.za if you suspect unauthorized access.
- Usernames and handles must not impersonate real people, businesses or public figures.
4. Organizer Accounts (Pages)
Event organizers and businesses may register as a Pulsefy Page. Pages are always public and can be followed by users. You must be the authorized representative of the business or event you register.
- False or misleading event listings may result in immediate suspension.
- Organizers are solely responsible for the accuracy of ticket prices, dates and venues.
- Pulsefy charges an 8% service fee on paid tickets, added to the buyer's price. The organizer receives the full ticket price they set.
- Organizers who sell paid tickets must complete identity and bank-account verification before ticket sales are switched on.
- Verified badges are granted at Pulsefy's discretion after identity verification.
Payouts. Ticket payments are collected and held by Pulsefy's licensed payment partner — not by Pulsefy. The organizer's share is released to their verified bank account 2 business days after the event, once the event has taken place as listed. Payouts may be withheld while a cancellation, refund request, chargeback or fraud review for that event is open.
Subscriptions. Organizer Premium is R220/month and Business Premium is R360/month. New organizer and business accounts get Premium free for their first 3 months. Nothing is charged automatically when the free period ends — your account moves to the free plan unless you choose to subscribe. Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month.
5. Tickets & Payments
All ticket payments are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are processed and held by Pulsefy's licensed payment partner. Pulsefy is a marketplace — we facilitate ticket sales, but the organizer is the seller and is responsible for the event.
- Your ticket is delivered instantly as a QR code in the app and by email. Each QR code admits one person and can be scanned once.
- Tickets may not be resold at a premium (no touting).
Refunds & cancellations.
- Event cancelled: you get a full refund of the ticket price and Pulsefy's service fee, back to your original payment method, within 5–10 business days.
- Event postponed or materially changed (new date, venue or headline act): your ticket stays valid for the new date, or you can request a full refund within 7 days of the change being announced.
- Change of mind: tickets are otherwise non-refundable, unless the organizer's event listing offers a more generous policy.
- Request a refund at support@pulsefy.co.za with your booking reference. Because the organizer is only paid after the event, refunds for cancelled events can be paid from the funds still held.
- If you dispute a card payment with your bank, the ticket is cancelled while the dispute is open.
6. User Content
When you post photos, captions, comments or any other content on Pulsefy, you:
- Retain ownership of your content.
- Grant Pulsefy a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute it within the platform.
- Confirm you have the right to post it (no copyright violations).
- Agree not to post illegal, hateful, violent, sexually explicit or spam content.
We may remove any content that violates these terms without notice.
7. Prohibited Conduct
- Harassment, bullying or threats against other users.
- Posting content that incites violence, hatred or discrimination.
- Scraping, crawling or data-mining the platform.
- Attempting to hack, reverse-engineer or disrupt the service.
- Creating fake events or fake ticket listings.
- Impersonating venues, artists, public figures or Pulsefy staff.
8. Privacy
We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Key points:
- We collect your name, email, phone (if provided) and location for the purpose of providing the service.
- We share a buyer's name and booking with the organizer of the event they bought tickets for, so they can admit them.
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
- Your location is used only to show nearby events — you can disable this in settings.
- Card details are entered on, and handled only by, our PCI-DSS compliant payment partner. Pulsefy never sees or stores card numbers.
- Organizer ID documents used for verification are stored privately and only viewed by Pulsefy's verification team.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information at privacy@pulsefy.co.za.
9. Termination
We may suspend or permanently delete your account at any time for violations of these terms. You may delete your account at any time from Profile Settings. Purchased tickets associated with a deleted account remain valid.
10. Limitation of Liability
Pulsefy is a platform that connects users with events. We are not responsible for the quality, safety or accuracy of events listed by third-party organizers. Attend events at your own risk. Our liability is limited to the amount of any ticket processing fees you paid to us.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Africa.
